Rachel E Reader is a singer-songwriter whose music explores faith, love, relationships, heartbreak, loss, grief, healing and the courage to begin again.
Drawing from her own experiences and journey of recovery, Rachel writes honest, heartfelt songs about the complexities of loving and letting go. Her music explores healthy and toxic relationships, disappointment and loss, resilience, and the difficult reality of loving someone while knowing that choosing yourself sometimes means walking away.
Faith and hope are woven naturally throughout Rachel's music. Some songs draw on biblical themes and Scripture, including songs she originally wrote during her own journey of healing and discovering faith between 2006 and 2012. Others explore love, relationships, resilience, restoration and finding yourself again.
Rachel has been sharing her music and testimony with women since 2014, alongside her work supporting organisations working to end domestic abuse and violence against women and girls. Her earlier albums include Pursuit of His Presence, Freedom and The Best Gift. Her newer music continues that journey — from heartbreak and healing to faith, freedom and hope.
Beyond the Music
Alongside her music, Rachel has qualifications in Education & Training, Counselling and Art Therapy. Her wider work has included supporting and encouraging women through recovery, healing and personal transformation.
Testimonial
"Rachel is a wonderful singer/songwriter and so much more. Her music flows out of her pursuit of God and of social justice. Her life story is a powerful testimony both to the realities of what many women suffer and also to the power of God who redeems, transforms, and restores. Rachel has a beautiful voice and speaks very clearly and personally to her audience. We were privileged to have her sing at the Annual General Meeting of Restored where she was a vital and much appreciated part of the evening."
